Elips SinglePipe
The Elips SinglePipe system is a thermally insulated shallow water pipe system designed to provide a highly cost-effective way to lay offshore oil and gas pipelines at depths of up to 200 metres.
Elips SinglePipe system exploits a specially bonded combination of polyurethane (PU) cellular foam, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) casing and other proprietary technologies to ensure that long-term insulation values are maintained.
In addition, each length of SinglePipe features a built-in water seal at each end. This ensures that any leak only affects one single pipe length, markedly increasing the durability of the pipe system as a whole.
This means that flow assurance is not threatened or unduly affected, and gives you:
- U-values of only 0.5 – 5.0 W/m 2K
- Integrated water seals in every pipe
- Simplified logistics that provide significant savings

Easy installation
Laying SinglePipe from the barge is easy, rapid and uncomplicated. The pipe sections are jointed by one single weld, as only the service pipe requires welding.
Elips field joints are developed to secure, simple and quick installation. Due to the integrated water seals of the pipes, no complicated sealing of the field joints is required.
Customer specified field joint solutions are also applicable.
Elips SinglePipe systems enable installation methods such as S-lay, J-lay and bundles.
